Our Faith

Here are the doctrines we believe and teach

1. We believe that the Bible or Holy Scripture is the Word of God and our only norm in the life of faith (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
2. We believe in one God in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
3. We believe that God in the beginning made the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1).
4. We believe that God created man from dust (Genesis 1:26; 1 Thessalonians 5:23).
5. We believe that sin entered the world because of man's disobedience to God's command (Genesis 2:16-17).
6. We believe that the grace of God made and makes possible the salvation of man through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:17; Ephesians 2:4-7).
7. We believe that salvation is conditioned by faith, repentance and being born again.

  • Faith: comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17; Hebrews 11:1, 2 Corinthians 4:18).

  • Repentance: it is a command of the Lord Jesus (Mark 1:14-15). It represents man's return to God from the lost ways of sin (Isaiah 55:7), the total change of the old life with a new one, according to the Word of God (Romans 2:4).

  • Born again: no one can become a child of God unless he is first born again through the Word of God and through the Holy Spirit (James 1:18, 1 Peter 1:23, Titus 3:5).

8. We believe that we have God's forgiveness as a result of receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior (Acts 10:43; 1 John 1:9).
9. We believe that the believer's justification lies in the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ and is received by faith, from God, together with salvation. So no one can justify himself before God by his own works, nor by the works of the Old Testament Law (Philippians 3:9; John 1:12; Romans 8:1; John 3:16).
10. We believe that the fruit of believers freed from sin, is sanctification (Romans 6:22).
11. We believe in the believer's direct relationship with God - prayer and fasting being two of the most effective ways of getting close to divinity.
12. We believe that baptism in water, which is given to people who believe and have returned to God, must be performed by a single immersion in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Baptism in water is ordained by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself (Matthew 28:19). This act is a symbol of death to sin, of resurrection to a new life in Christ (Romans 6:1-4). Those who believe and profess faith can receive it (Mark 16:16, Acts of the Apostles 8:36).
13. We believe in the institution of the Lord's Supper for the Church. Participation in the Lord's Supper constitutes a proclamation of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 22:19-20).
14. We believe that the Lord Jesus instituted the act of washing feet (John 13:14).
15. We believe in the promise of baptism with the Holy Spirit for all believers. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father through the Son (John 15:26). The baptism with the Holy Spirit is a seal for the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30), a pledge of the inheritance (Ephesians 1:13-14), power from above for the service of confessing the full Gospel (Acts 1:8).
16. We believe in the Holy Spirit and in the manifestations of the Holy Spirit through the 9 gifts. Following the baptism with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit distributes as He wills different spiritual gifts. Holy Scripture tells us about nine gifts: speaking of wisdom, speaking of knowledge, faith, the gift of healing, the power to work miracles, the discernment of spirits, prophecy, speaking in different tongues and the interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:1-10).
17. We believe that both the new birth and the baptism with the Holy Spirit must be followed by the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the harvest of a holy life, after we have become children of God, born again, led by the Holy Spirit in all respects (Galatians 5:22-23).
18. We believe in divine healings (Matthew 8:16-17). Healing can be obtained through personal faith (Luke 8:48), through the gift of healing (1 Corinthians 12:9; Acts of the Apostles 3:6) or through prayer spoken with faith after anointing the sick with oil (James 5:14- 16).
19. We believe in the existence of the church of God founded by the Lord Jesus Christ as a unitary and living organism. The word "Church" is the equivalent of what in Greek is called "Eklesia" and means "the gathering of the called". In the sense of the Holy Scriptures, it is universal, it includes all the believers of the past and present times, who, hearing the voice of Jesus, they decided to return to the Lord with repentance, following the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and His apostles (1 Corinthians 1:2-2; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
20. We believe that the priesthood of the Old Testament was replaced in the New Testament by the spiritual services ordained in the Church (Ephesians 4:11).
21. We believe that the ministers of the Gospel (deacons, presbyters, pastors) are ordained in their work by the laying of hands and the prayer made by the servants of God entitled to do this (Acts of the Apostles 13:2-3).

22. We believe that all members of the church of God have duties and rights. No one can become a member of the Agape Romanian Pentecostal Church until he/she has acquired the principles of faith.
23. We believe family, realized through marriage between a man and a woman, is a divine institution established by God (Genesis 2:18-24, Matthew 19:5).
24. We believe in the Church's disposition regarding the blessing of children. The children of believers are holy (1 Cor. 7:14). Even so, they still are brought to the blessing, where, following the example of the Lord Jesus (Matthew 19:13-15; Mark 10:13-16), small children are taken in their arms, and hands are placed on the older ones, saying the text of blessing from Numbers 6:24-27, while their names are pronounced.
25. We believe that charity is a holy duty for every believer. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 8:1-15).
26. We believe in the duty of believers to pursue simplicity in clothing (1 Timothy 2:9-10; 1 Peter 3:1-6).
27. We believe that Sunday is the Lord's day. We celebrate this day in memory of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, according to the model of the early Church Christians (1 Corinthians 16:2; Acts of the Apostles 20:7; 2:1; John 20:19-20).
28. We believe that God's will is to be loyal to the state and to the state authorities. (1 Peter 2:13-17; Titus 3:1,2).
29. We believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the eschatological events that will follow. (Revelation 1:7)
